Bassist Kris Saebo is a soloist, bass guitarist, chamber musician,
and teaching artist. He is also a recent alum of two professional training
programs: Weill Music Institute's Teaching Artist Collaborative; and a
two year residency playing chamber music and teaching through The
Academy-a program of Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School, and The
Weill Music Institute.
Kris performs regularly with The Chris Norman Ensemble,
Ensemble ACJW, SONYC, Grammy Award-Winner Paul Halley, and
Carnegie Hall's Professional Training Workshops. As the principal
bassist of the Star Wars Orchestra, he and members of the Boston Pops
and Orchestra of St. Luke?s recently toured North America playing Star
Wars in Concert. As a long-time member of iPalpiti, the chamber
orchestra of Young Artists International, he toured Europe, North
America and the Middle East. He has also performed contemporary
music with such groups as Metropolis Ensemble, Alarm Will Sound,
Argento Chamber Ensemble, and Ikarus Chamber Players.
Kristoffer teaches bass privately and in Manhattan at Bloomingdale
School of Music. Mr. Saebo received his Master and Bachelor of Music
Degrees from the Juilliard School in 2006 as a student of Orin O'Brien
and in 2004 as a student of Homer Mensch.
